The Austrian Treasury has today revised downwards its 2021 Funding Outlook. This follows the budgetary speech of our Federal Minister of Finance in Parliament on October 13, which also included an improved deficit forecast for this year.
The funding outlook 2021 (which was last updated on May 31, 2021) was now revised as follows:
- Total issuance 2021 (all instruments): around 60 bn EUR (vs. previous estimate of 65 - 70 bn EUR)
- thereof Republic of Austria Government Bonds (RAGB) issuance 2021: around 40 bn EUR (vs. previous estimate of around 45 bn EUR)
- Short-term debt instruments outstanding as of end-2021: 18 - 20 bn EUR (vs. previous estimate of minimum 20 bn EUR)
The 2022 funding outlook will be published on December 10, 2021.
